Bio

Karl Finley joined the men’s basketball staff at Florida State College at Jacksonville in December 2025. Finley brings more than 20 years of coaching experience, including extensive work at the collegiate level in both Michigan and Florida.

Prior to his arrival at FSCJ, Finley served as an Assistant Coach at Palm Beach State College, joining the staff in September 2023. Before PBSC, he was an Assistant Coach at Eastern Florida State College, where he helped guide the program to a 22–10 record and a semifinal appearance in the Division I FCSAA/NJCAA South District Tournament.

During the 2020–21 season, Finley coached at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois, contributing to a 19–12 campaign and a semifinals berth in the CCAC Tournament.

A former standout player, Finley played collegiate basketball at Bishop College in Dallas, Texas, and East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. He was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Southeastern High School in Detroit, Michigan, serving as team captain and leading the program to the City Championship Finals and the Michigan State Quarterfinals. He earned All-Detroit Public Schools League honors and was named Honorable Mention All-State and All-City.

Finley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Davenport University (Detroit College of Business).
